Fresh food. Real community.

More mornings together.

Our Food is the product. Our Community is the engine.

Hungry Hound makes complete and balanced fresh dog food in Bend, Oregon, using PNW-sourced ingredients. Our bigger mission is to help dogs and their people share more healthy mornings together.

We earn trust face to face through the PNW’s only food cart just for dogs, WoofFest, Doggolympics, rescue partnerships, local retailers, and simple home-delivery plans.

Hungry Hound began with Romeo, a Street Dog Hero rescue, and one simple joking comment! We were on our way to Bend’s OnTap food cart lot and my wife jokingly said “I wish we could bring Romeo, I wish there was a food cart just for dogs!”. We laughed about the idea for a few minutes, burgers, hot dogs, platters, desserts just for dogs…. then a light bulb went off in my head! In April 2024, that joke became Central Oregon’s first dog-food cart, and the community showed us it was much bigger than a novelty with one thrilled customer saying, “I didn’t realize there was such a big hole in Bend till you came along plugged it!”

Seeing pups devour their ¼ Hounder with cheese, served on a frisbee with sweet potato fries and rice with gravy, is pure magic. My background as a Hollywood film Producer spawned the tail-wagging fun events like WoofFest and the Doggolympics in 2024 and 2025, Eugene’s first-ever Doggolympics on September 14, 2025 at Alton Baker Park, and a Portland Doggolympics planned for October 17th, 2026 in collaboration with Street Dog Hero as well as recurring monthly event in The old Mill District called Second Saturdays: Paws and Pints.

We turned that same joy and trust into fresh everyday nutrition. Our gently cooked and raw recipes are made in our ODA-licensed Bend facility and formulated by James Pendergast of NetPet Nutrition to meet AAFCO standards for adult dogs.

Today, Hungry Hound is available through Bend Pet Express, Newport Market, Locavore, Local Acres, and home delivery across the Pacific Northwest. Our events, rescue partnerships, and Dogtown USA Dogcast keep the community at the center of everything we build.

Because our food is the product and our Community is the engine. And every thoughtful bowl can lead to more mornings together.

Thanks, and WOOF!
