Our meals are made with quality meats, vegetables, and simple whole-food ingredients, then packed in convenient 0.5 lb and 1 lb portions so feeding fresh is easy.

We also know fresh food can feel expensive, especially right now. The good news is that Hungry Hound does not have to be all-or-nothing. You can feed it as your dog’s full meal, mix it 50/50 with kibble, or use it as a daily topper. Any amount of fresh, real food you can add to your dog’s bowl is a step in the right direction.

Our goal is simple: make high-quality fresh dog food more accessible, more local, and more connected to the dogs and families we serve.

We can ship Hungry Hound nationwide, but our primary focus is the Pacific Northwest.

Because our food is made fresh and shipped frozen, each order is packed in an insulated shipping box and sent with UPS 24–48 hour service whenever possible to help ensure it arrives frozen or properly chilled.

We do our best to ship orders within 5 days of purchase, but we are a small Bend company making food in small batches, not a giant warehouse operation. That means some orders may take a little extra time depending on production schedules, weather, holidays, and shipping windows.

Yes. Hungry Hound subscriptions are available in both 0.5 lb packs and 1 lb packs.

Each subscription box includes 30 packs — one pack for each day of the month — with a standard 10/10/10 mix of Beef Bonanza, Chicken Feast, and Salmon Dive.

If your dog has allergies, sensitivities, or strong preferences, we can also build a custom box with the specific recipes and quantities you choose.

Each recipe is also balanced with our proprietary vitamin and mineral blend to help make the food complete and balanced for adult dogs.

As for allergies, every dog is different. Some dogs can be sensitive to certain proteins like beef, chicken, or fish, while others may have no issue at all. Because our recipes are simple and transparent, it is easier to choose the best option for your dog based on what you already know they tolerate well.

Yes. Hungry Hound is made in small batches in our licensed Bend production kitchen, using real ingredients and careful handling practices.

Because Hungry Hound is fresh food, it should be treated like any other fresh meat-based product. Keep it frozen until you are ready to use it, then thaw packs in the refrigerator before feeding.

Once thawed, keep the food refrigerated and use it within a few days. Do not leave thawed food sitting out for long periods, and always wash hands, bowls, utensils, and surfaces after handling.

For best results:

• Store unopened packs in the freezer.

• Thaw in the refrigerator.

• Keep thawed food refrigerated.

• Use thawed food within a few days.

• Serve cold, room temperature, or gently warmed.

• Do not microwave food in the plastic packaging.

• Always provide fresh water.

If your order is shipped, it will arrive in insulated packaging designed to keep the food frozen or properly chilled during transit. Place it in the freezer as soon as possible after delivery.

A full Hungry Hound plan is a great option if you want your dog eating fresh food for every meal, but many families start by mixing Hungry Hound with their dog’s current food or using it as a daily topper.

Both. While raw food is generally considered more nutritious, we do offer all our recipes Gently cooked using the Sous Vide method of cooking to ensure all the moisture and good stuff stays in the bag!

We recommend introducing Hungry Hound gradually over 7–10 days, especially if your dog is currently eating kibble or processed food.

A simple transition plan:

Days 3–5: 50% Hungry Hound / 50% current food
